Greetings! My name is Kat, a 4th degree black belt and seven-time certified FAST Defense Instructor who has been sharing martial arts and self-defense training with others for about 37 years. My mission is to help empower women of all ages to feel safer by sharing specialized self-defense knowledge such as safety tips, real-world stories, tools, and products to protect themselves or help prevent an attack from happening. Never give up too early, learning information, developing new habits, and putting them to memory, takes time. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Have patience with yourself, and allow magic to happen in your life. Set a goal of making just one percent improvement each day you read, study, or practice new techniques. 100 days later, you’ll have 100% improvement or change. I dedicated years to learning and wasn’t born a natural at assertiveness, awareness, conflict resolution and self-defense.
